"You Have No Reason To Believe You'll Make It Out Alive Uf You Are Already Being Called A Body."

Aliya Rahman was a on her way to a doctor’s appointment when she was dragged from her car by ICE agents. She testified on Capitol Hill.

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Ranking Member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI), and U.S. Representative Robert Garcia (D-CA), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, held a bicameral public forum to receive testimony on the violent tactics and disproportionate use of force by agents of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Rahman says she has struggled to process the violent encounter and her detention at Whipple. After spending time with other detainees, she says she is now committed to speaking out.

No officials from the Department of Homeland Security appeared at Tuesday’s forum on Capitol Hill.
